about me

I was working long hours, away from my kids, in a job I didn’t particularly care for… I knew things had to change.

Then one night, whilst scrolling through Facebook, I saw mention of Virtual Assistants and I couldn’t get it out of my head. I began to build my business around my fulltime job, spending weekends and evenings researching, planning, and getting things started.

Despite it being a scary decision, I decided it was now or never. I was fed up with choosing between my kids and a career – I wanted both!

So I jumped at the opportunity and in 2016, using all the transferable skills I’d learnt along the way, Advantage Virtual Assistants became my fulltime job.

With years of experience under my belt since, I know what it takes to build a successful and profitable VA business.

Now I help women like you to do the same – without all the mistakes most new VAs have to make!

Like most mums, my kids are at the heart of everything I do and I was fed up spending all my time at work rather than with my family. My rigid nine to five schedule meant I missed out on a lot of important moments so when I heard about Virtual Assistants it just seemed like the logical answer.

When I first started as a VA, I hadn’t long gone back to fulltime employment in the school after having my youngest daughter Grace. At the time, I was also coming to terms with the fact that I had been battling post-natal depression and looking after our very poorly baby girl. She used to stop breathing in her sleep and could wake anything up to twice an hour through the night. Most nights, I sat on the sofa with her as she could sleep propped up in my arms. I’d then get up, put a smile on my face and go to work for the day.

The traditional work structure just wasn’t working for my family, I knew I needed the flexibility and freedom being a VA provided.

If it wasn’t for Hollie and Grace, it’s unlikely Advantage Virtual Assistants would have ever happened.

They really are my reason why and my biggest motivation for helping working mums like me create a flexible source of income – without having to sacrifice time with their family!
